The tour starts at 09:00, from the hotel, and ends in Marrakech around 18:00. Give us a day and we'll show you the beauty of the mountains and tempt you with our delicious cuisine. 

All at a modest price, and in the same day! Many of you are limited by time, so it's not possible to do a long trek in a short space of time. But don't worry, we've got a day trip that will make you happy and feel like you're trekking in the Atlas Mountains! On this excursion, we'll visit Tachedirt, one of the highest and most isolated villages in the High Atlas.

You'll explore the richness of art and culture, and even learn a brief history of Morocco. You can also admire and take photos of the various terraces and villages... Long ago, this tour was only possible in 2 days due to the poor condition of the road, so tourists had to stop in Imlil and walk for a few hours to reach the Inmane valley. 

Today, in 2024, the road has just seen the light of day after more than 3 years' work, 3 valleys linked together in a circular fashion, Asni to the Imnanne valley - Imlil to the Imnanne  valley. This is a great opportunity for those who want to reach the highest village in Morocco. 

Start your small-group excursion with a pick-up from your Marrakech hotel, and climb aboard your air-conditioned 4x4 or minibus. Receive a briefing on the day's activities and Morocco's rural way of life as you drive towards the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Admire the snow-capped peaks as you drive deeper into this spectacular range, and after about 30 minutes, you arrive in the town of Tahnaout, where you'll stop to take your first photos and visit a local argan oil cooperative, where Berber women extract oil from argan nuts for use in cooking and beauty products. 

On the way, you'll pass through the historic village of Igodar, 35 km from Marrakech. You'll stop at Tizi nTamatert, at an altitude of 2280 m, to admire the Imlil and Imenane valleys, with its many Berber terraced villages nestled precariously on the slopes that spread out around you. When you reach Tachedirt, start the 1-2 hour hike up the valley through walnut groves, corn and barley fields to greet the many sheep and goatherds - and women and children bent over 20 kg loads of bundles and dried herbs. We pass through the village of Ouanskra and descend through walnut and decoy trees to a small spring among the trees. Meet up with the driver and continue to the next valley for lunch in a restaurant, or meet your friendly Berber hosts and enjoy a home-cooked lunch. Then continue down the valley back to your hotel in Marrakech.
